SUMMARY
-Meditation requires a certain atmosphere and a good amount of time, so make sure that you won't be interrupted or distracted by anything or anyone. Put on loose-fitting and comfortable clothes. Stretch before you start meditating to prepare your body for it.
-Any kind of meditation is done sitting or lying down. Breathe naturally and focus your attention on your breath and how your body moves each time you inhale and exhale. Don't let any other thoughts distract you. Be sure to do it at the same time each day so that it becomes habitual more easily.
-All you have to do is focus solely on one thing. Truly focusing your mind on one thing without letting it wander from one point to another takes time and practice. But it brings wonderful inner harmony and a new sense of calm with it.
-Mindfulness meditation encourages you to closely observe all the thoughts that appear in your mind. Your task isn't to judge them, you just have to acknowledge each and every one of them and be aware of their appearance.
-Mantra meditation basically involves repeating a specific sound, word, or phrase over and over again until you silence your mind and enter a deeper meditative state. “Om” is said to be the first sound heard at the creation of the universe. Om Tat Sat is yet another mantra you may want to memorize.
-Meditation reduces the symptoms of anxiety disorders, such as phobias, social anxiety, and panic attacks, to name a few. Other benefits of meditation that have been confirmed by the scientific community include lower blood pressure and blood cortisol levels as well as improved blood circulation, among others.

How does it help with your ears? I want to give it a try I’m always stressed out and anxious
I do both yoga and meditation. The best form of exercise for a healthy body and mind. Also don’t forget your daily one hour walk. The 3 make the perfect combination.
The more I tune into things that are closely aligned with being nature-based, the more I see how many of these things we should be exposed to at much earlier ages. This is possibly one of the things that SHOULD be done in daycares/schools. It would in some ways assist the young students as well as the teachers and staff. I saw a little while back that there is a school here in Chicago that does meditation sometime during the day. I would love to see the results of the students, being that they’re exposed to meditation at a younger age
Meditation is extremely beneficial and is essential for having inner peace. It’s easier to gain inner peace than “outer peace” as in the world because inner peace mainly requires the attention of one person… yourself while outer peace tends to require everyone.
So true mate😊
How can you allow everyone to love you if you can’t even love yourself
Meditation is awesome and helpful but i think the kind of meditation you do is the most important thing. Nam MyoHo Renge Kyo is an awesome meditation that helps you focus and bring out your inner harmony but helps you gain wisdom to change your problems at the same time. More than being calm, i love the fact that this meditation has literally helped me change my life. No better meditation than that ❤️
I try to meditate because my job is so stressful, sometimes it gives me headache… Though as a beginner I found myself lost in many thoughts running thru my head during my first week in meditation, but after a month of meditation. I can say that it really works, even my mother asked me why I am not in a bad mood lately. The way I think after I meditate 20 minutes 2 times a day for 6 months compare to the times I don’t meditate was huge.. Right now I didn’t easily irritated when my co-worker approach me with their senseless problems, but right now I laugh them because it doesn’t really makes sense to me.
Who…me?
@Jack’s Son what
I meditate everyday in the early morning, and I love this
quotes: “Meditation brings wisdom; lack
of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds
you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.” -Buddha
I started to meditate to control my energy and focus but it helps so much on a spiritual, mental, and a little bit physical level, I haven’t been doing it for too long but it will definitely change my life later on
Some great tips there. I am usually very stiff if I sit for too long, so stretching before starting your practice is a great tip. Thank you
A big big must, growing up I always assumed that meditation was for hippies and monks but including this in my life and making it a daily routine for only 10 minutes a day has done wonders for me. Not stressed as much and I can now finally live in the moment more.
Aboy thanks for sharing!! I’ve been working on self improvement for years but now I’m ready to take it up a notch. I’m setting my alarm for 30 minutes earlier each day to start meditating and read my devotional before I start my day! I’m excited to see the benefits over time!
When i was a kid i thought i’d float whenever i meditate. I was very desperate
You’re just beginning, wait and see until you get better. Try to make it a habit. After 15 minutes meditation gets deeper if u use a breathing method
@Foreho I actually did float. Well it felt like I was. I have been trying to get that feeling again ever since.
what to you do?
Great video!! The biggest health benefit of meditation for me was my chronic knee pain is gone.
This is what I needed. I have been fighting anxiety and panic attacks for hours today. After watching the video, I went out on my porch at 1:30am and meditated as the video instructed. It wasn’t easy to stay focused the first 10 min, but I decided to try it for another 10 mins. I still wasnt perfect, but I noticed once I was finished the ringing in my ears had finally stopped and that scary chest pain eased up. I cant wait to do it again tomorrow. If I can get such quick relief from the scary symptoms of generalized anxiety and panic disorder my first time. I can only imagine how i could control this disorder with practice… Thank You
+Angela weatherholt – Stay with it, make it a daily habit (or, perhaps preferably twice a day – one in the morning, and one in the evening [before bedtime, but before you start to get really sleepy – so not to just sitting and nodding off]).
It certainly helped me to get rid of my anxiety! I’ve suffered from GAD, probably since I was borne, or at least as long as I can remember, which in my early twenties “(d)evolved” into panic-attack-disorder. Which at that time prompted me to get professional help.
Although, I found the “common psychotherapy” not the least helpful. But then I met another psychologist, who used then a new combo of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and “Mindfulness” (a sort of meditation). And although CBT helped somewhat – what really both struck, and have stuck with me is the kind of breathing-excersice which is a great help for instant relief when you’re having a panic-attack (called “four-corned-breathing”, or something like that, in which basically you concentrate on making your inbreath as long as your outbreath – and make them slow down!).
And finally, after some months practice of mindfulness/meditation, I could see clear results: such as no longer suffering from panic-attacks, at all…and now, after some years (although it didn’t take that long time) – I would no longer say that I suffer from any anxiety! (Although, that is not to say that I NEVER feel anxious, of course I do…like anyone else. But, another great “biproduct” of meditation is to learn how to be more accepting of your roller-coasting emotions – that is: To accept that anxiety, fear, anger and so on is just as much of the emotional repertoir of human emotions as feelings of calm, peace and love is [just to mention a few ex.] ).
So, good luck – and stay with it!
Matt*ma* Gandhi I’m new to this conversation, but if it’s my first time meditating and it doesn’t work out the first time I always say, ‘ahh this will never work’, I just need to do it everyday, thanks 🙏
I too have hypochondria and due to anxiety doctor said that my retina started vibrating , so now I can’t even worry a little bit or it would start light flashing in my eyes and I fear is retinal detachment so it like a cycle , I get anxious about my retina, it starts ringing it gets even more vibrating and yet more anxiety!!!
It sucks , so I really needed something to stop this , meditating really helps even doing it for 10 mins is helpful a lot n makes u feel calm
You have to accept those attacks don’t materialize the. Only then will they truly go away that’s what helps
I meditate while trying to fall asleep laying down. Works like a charm putting you to sleep with enough practice to clear your head.
Same! I love it 💜😁✌🏽
Meditation has been the practice that has improved my focus, discipline and composure over time when i had no idea i needed meditation:) its a really great thing to adopt
I have been meditating since 7 months now. It feels great!!Consistency is the key. ❤
Can you please tell me the proper process
Try kriya yoga then
Meditation is amazing, just one day of doing it morning and night made a big change! Thanks for these tips! It helped a lot
This is very relaxing and soothing. Thanks for sharing this meditation. 🙏❤️
It’s been two weeks I am practicing mindfulness meditation daily in the morning after I wake up and in the night before going to sleep. I haven’t seen any significant results yet but I trust the process!💜
Can you tell results now…
I’ve been doing it for a month now but only 5 minutes in the morning and night
Love the way how the meaning of the One syllable Om is explained. It is actually pronounced as Aum. Meditation is definitely beneficial as it helps you calm your mind, get a hold on your thoughts and senses. It can be liberating if practiced daily and properly.
I started meditating last year, but stopped. This video has inspired me to restart and keep on meditating. It’s great for my mind and body. Thank you for the inspiration! 🤗
