Meditation is amazing. Sometimes when meditating I go deeply to the extent where I forget where I am. There’s another world in our mind and it’s peaceful. Mr. Russell, you are my inspiration.
Another world, outside of time. A quality I can only describe as deeply connected outside of self. It is truly amazing to know that EVERYONE is capable of getting “there.”
you should live in this world
@jamich1 I do. ๐
@za77ack I meant also stay in it ? Stop escaping from it ? You get it now ?
@jamich1 Open your mind.
So bloominโ in love with Russell and how much these videos are effecting people. Looks like personal growth isnโt so personal when a journey can effect mass consciousness like this. If it wasnโt for the dark times I guess this lovely man may never have reached for his soul, got to be grateful for that. Gorgeous stuff to absolutely fill the heart with ๐ป
I’ve done a lot of guided meditation (Headspace and other apps) and this is actually a really good tutorial. I think Russell needs to make some professionally recorded meditation tracks of his own. I’d totally buy it!
Amen. I’ve been so impressed with him on joe rogans podcasts but man this guy is gifted as a teacher and communicator
Please do more meditation vids mate ๐๐๐
Yes, I have tried different methods of meditation and I found this one very easy to follow…he has indeed a gift.
๐ฏ totally!!
i doubt russel would want to profit from it
Iโve been meditating for many years, but I loved your presentation of this! I learned more than I thought I would. Thank you! Totally worth sharing to those who are starting out.
The moment when you told me to just sit there and feel my physical pain or illness, not to block it out to just feel it… I started crying. I’ve spent my whole life trying to block out and ignore my physical discomfort. I never realized the emotional toll that took on me. I didn’t cry from the pain, I cried because I let myself finally feel it and accept that I was IN pain. I don’t know, very difficult to communicate the flood of feelings that happened.
Thanks so much for this very helpful video.
Jennifer Germyn .. so proud of you for respecting your body.
Me 2 girl
You had me in tears…
you really hit me with your “moment”
@Jennifer Germyn ๐โค๐
I suffer from chronic pain and anxiety and the first time I meditated I started crying too. My neck was wet from the tears but it felt like a release I hadn’t had before.
Man that is JUST what I needed today! I must do this regularly. I suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety, and I have a really hard time relaxing and getting proper rest. The amount of stress my body has endured is evident, and I’ve been working in therapy and individually to turn my life around and back to the simple, wholesome girl I always was before I got caught up in the machine. Thank you so much for all you do, Russell. You are a God send ๐
I never thought I’d ever want to learn how to meditate. And I never thought that I’d be listening to mediation advice given by Russell Brand. Goes to show what an adventure life is.
I have never meditated before but after enjoying some of Russell’s videos I thought I’d join in for the craic. I’m 24 weeks pregnant and as I began to relax into the meditation my baby got super active, I was almost able to feel their entire movement rather than just the odd kick. Sounds mad but I’m a bit amazed at what I’ve just felt, definitely something to give a go
I just shared this with my son, who’s really struggling in the Covid crisis. He’s lost his degree, his job, his first love and, seemingly, all hope. I’m praying Russell will serve as an accessible introduction to something that really helped me at my lowest ebb. Son, if you read this: I love you.x
Try to always be with him. Depression is dangerous. Hoping for his life to turn around (and it will), just be there for him physically become I know you are emotionally. Sending you and him all my good energy ๐๐ปโค๏ธ
@filzhut Thank you for this. I will.
Che Garcia Thank you for your kindness.x
@paxsmile Thank you so much for your kind words and good wishes. He needs that positive energy. ๐โค๏ธ
Monde Mysterieux youโre welcome, that and your love will help him through. Remind him that โthis too shall passโ.
I have never considered meditation. Russell is a good example of meditation and its possibilities. Just because he seems so at peace, I am willing to try it. His presence gives me peace. Russell is the first and last part of my days now!
Thank you Russell and all of your friends, family, and teachers for sharing this wisdom with all. When you invited us to scan our bodies for any discomfort or pain I thought of an experience my eldest son had yesterday, when he meditated for the first. He spoke about how his stomach hurt during and after the meditation. After he and I went through a list of all of the things that could be causing him tummy pain, and realising that none of them were applicable, we talked about the posibility that the pain he was experiencing may have been lingering there for some time and caused by tension. Then, the tummy pain went away and did not return.
Thank you Russell. This simple exercise showed me where I kept getting in my way. (A lot of ownership in that sentence). Not getting tied with the random thought and freedom from the emotion also helped. With this example I didnโt feel I had to think it to death, just be. I look forward to more meditative vids and I find your other vids informative and analytical. Please keep at it!
It’s always us who gets in our own way. So glad you were able to see and experience that with this awesome exercise. ๐
My first time meditating, and as soon as I allowed myself to feel my pain I couldn’t stop crying.. the whole time just crying, not sadness necessarily but finally taking a moment to process my sadness.. thank you I feel this is really going to help me
I know this is a bit old & you’ll likely not see this but, I have to say ….this just literally saved my life. Thank you so much. I can’t even express how beneficial this was for me.

Thank you so much Russell for this lesson in meditating. I have been searching for a way to meditate in many ways. Meditation for protection, meditation for inner peace and most recently Shamanic meditation. I am a gifted sensitive who has blocked for years the messages Spirit has been trying to give me out of fear. I have asked my guides to bring me to the purest way to do this and your video just came up on my you tube. I wasnโt looking for it in fact I was watching something completely different. I truly believe it is going to be my first steps in overcoming my fears and finding inner peace. Thank you Russell for sharing your knowledge ๐โค๏ธ
I just love when sensitive people let themselves lean back into their sensitivity after so many years of fighting it. So happy for you Theresa! Just had to acknowledge you. ๐๐
Thank you very much for posting this, Mr. Brand. I facilitate IOP groups for substance use (my groups are all male) and utilize meditation, container exercise, palms up/palms down, grounding, etc. and I like to use YouTube videos for this so I can model and participate as well. I’m excited to use this with my gentlemen and hear their responses! I wanted to post just for you to know that you’re influencing others in their own recovery, you are appreciated. Peace to you and all.
As a meditator myself, this is one of the best explained, holistic methods. Thank you so much for early into the session focusing on discomforts and pains. So few meditators suggest this and I believe it is crucial to distance the body that hurts from the true self that observes. Way to go Russell!
Thanks for putting this out. It’s a really elegant mix of practices and it’s helping me in a time when I’m struggling with meditation and staying positive through my own life struggles. So thank you and I hope the positivity you put out is always radiated back to keeps you strong. You often take on the burden of the voice of reason and positive energy. Thank you for your efforts to become a great communicator and using those skills to be a force of positivity.
the first time i meditated i cried afterwards because of how stressed and irritated id been for such a long time and i finally felt peaceful. i only felt this way when i drank or smoked the mary jane. ive been mediating for 4 days now and i feel so much more relaxed in my day to day life. i would recommend it to anybody that is in the same boat i was in. Ibelieve this will change my life to be honest, i finally have motivation to not drink or smoke and to do things again.
